kari dietrich, founder & strategist

KARI DIETRICH has worked at the nexus of new technology and effective storytelling since 1999. While a senior at the University of Maryland, she designed and built her first website, and hasn't looked back. Her first professional job out of college was as an editorial assistant at a news.dot.com for Cox Interactive Media, OCnow.com. While there, she developed a variety of coding, writing, photography and content production skills. Kari moved to Hollywood as a script reader, becoming a young creative executive for an independent film production company, expanding her storytelling and production abilities. After a few years, she became the lead content producer for Habbo US, a teen-focused social virtual world. She then moved into the agency world, working with Threshold Interactive in Culver City. After a few years, she became an independent consultant while deepening her digital photography abilities. In 2013, Kari completed her Masters of Arts degree in Experimental Humanities at NYU, studying human rights and the environment. As a senior producer with Digital Pulp (DPNY) she led many successful digital strategic marketing efforts across media, higher education and the non-profit sector for several years. In her personal life, Kari became a climate activist, participating in multiple speaking engagements and becoming heavily active with media and legislation at 350Brooklyn. In starting partikle, Kari fuses her vast experience in digital strategy with her deep commitment to cultural, social and environmental responsibility.
